I've been very disappointed with my 2021 Chevy Traverse. I have had a series of transmission issues that have resulted in it being in the service department for many weeks on several occasions. I have to say that Mike MacDonald went out of his way to work with me. He quickly responded to my phone calls and kept me updated. I understand that there is a long wait to get transmissions serviced. This last time my car was in for 2 months. Mike kept me updated and worked with me through the process. He is the principal reason I come here for service.

I am going on a road trip to Niagara Falls today. I had to get my Traverse in for a scheduled maintenance including oil change. I called to schedule a visit and although nothing was available for the only day I had available before today’s road trip, the representative got me scheduled at a time frame that worked for me. I came in as scheduled and Mr. Stocker was very accommodating. He even arranged transportation for me to pick up my vehicle after the service was complete. I really appreciate the way this entire service visit was handled by Les Stanford Chevrolet. But most importantly, no one knows how to fix/maintain my Chevy vehicle better than Les Stanford. I look forward to doing business with Les Stanford again in the future.

When I purchased the vehicle last fall I wasn't advised that the car would require service in less than 1,000 miles at a cost of $1,400. The dealer knew this was a required service and that I would incur this cost a few months after purchase. This required service was for replacement of the transmission filter. This cost essentially increased the cost of the vehicle and was known and not disclosed by them prior to sale. As the leading Corvette dealer, they knew and failed to disclose that I would incur this expense. It is especially aggravating since iI discussed the existing warranty and purchased the comprehensive extended warranties, at significant expense, at time of purchase. I feel that their failure to advise me of the upcoming expense was unconscionable at least and possibly fraudulent. I expressed my dissatisfaction to my salesman when I found out the service wasn't covered by warranty and he said he would check to see what remedies I may have and would get back to me. He hasn't. I'm happy with the service advisor. Not so much with the lack of communication in all respects from the sales staff.

Scheduling an appointment was frustrating. I called multiple times but kept getting voicemail, and it took quite a while for someone to finally return my call. I even tried using the online system and chat, but still had trouble getting through. When I dropped off my car, there were very few staff members in the office, and the same was true when I came back to pick it up. The whole process felt understaffed and disorganized. This visit was noticeably different from my previous ones, which had gone much more smoothly. Hoping this was just a one-off, but it definitely left a negative impression.

When I took my car in to get serviced, I was told it would take weeks for me to hear back about the plan to service it and I wouldn't know what was the issue with it until they looked at it in 2 weeks. They were unable to give me a loaner car in the meantime, and I had no idea when my car would be ready to drive, or when a loaner car would be available. A few days later, I got a car from the service center saying my car was actually fixed and ready to drive with no other explanation. It was a Friday at 5:00 pm - just 30 minutes before they closed. I took my car back, and as I started driving it, it started to shut down on me again. The engine light was on and I kept getting an alert that my battery was dying. This was 30 minutes after I picked the car up. I couldn't call them or take it back because they were closed at that point.

The service manager did the best he could do being the only one working that day. However, the two hour wait for an oil change is ridiculous. Then after completed I had to wait because I have a manual and there was no one trained to drive it so the service manager had to go get it further delaying time. Then once I received the car I had to go back and get someone to reset the oil indicator. I’ve had better visits but I purchased the car from your dealership and trying to stay loyal, but might be time to find a dealer closer as I wasn’t please with the service this time around or last because if wait time with a scheduled appointment.

Yo tenía mi cita el viernes 10 de octubre a las 3 de la tarde. Llegué puntual, solo para el cambio de aceite y la persona que me atendió me preguntó que si quería hacer la rotación de los neumáticos y los filtros de aire. A lo cual respondí que no, que solo el cambio de aceite. El tipo pasó y se tardaron 2 horas para ese servicio lo cual es demasiado solo para eso. Pero eso no fue lo peor. Cuando yo iba a pagar el agente me dijo: También arreglamos tu neumático y yo le contesté; de que me estás hablando? Y entonces solo pagué y me fui. Pero cuando llegue a mi auto me di cuenta que ellos habían indagado en mis cosas para buscar la llave de los neumáticos y cuando la usaron y terminaron la pusieron encima de una mochila que yo acababa de comprar ese día. Me la dañaron porque la mancharon de aceite de carro. Me enojé y fui a hablar con el agente que me atendió y se portó de manera no profesional. Pedí hablar con él supervisor y sólo me contestó que el estaba de vacaciones y que el no podía hacer nada por mí. Para reparar el daño de mi mochila. Espero que quien lea este comentario pueda hacer algo por lo que me pasó.

My advisor Mike was fine, but I was quite upset to find that the price I was quoted when I made my service appt (rotors and pads, front and rear) was much lower (almost $300) than the price I had to pay. I took a picture of my quote when I made appt ($1009.30). I had to pay $1263 (plus 3% for credit card) to get it done. No, there was no additional add ons. Your mailer said you always use GM Genuine parts and that is what I got (per Mike).

Normally I have a coupon you've mailed to me but I forgot to bring it. Yah, it's a corvette, prices have gone up on everything but I drive all the way from Shelby Twp. to Dearborn for an oil change and I feel like the charges were a bit much.

I booked a service appointment for a simple oil change and tire rotation 11 days in advance and yet, I still had to wait 2 hours (8:15am to 10:15am)! Had I known that, I would've gone home and got some real work done instead of reading emails in the cold waiting room. I had an oil change done at a local Buick dealer just 1 day prior to this one and they were done in 30 minutes flat, not the first time either so I don't know why Les Stanford needs 2 hours.

Mike always takes very good care of us and has for years; I do not blame him at all for my disappointment with your service. We are retired and have one vehicle, a 2014 Silverado that we are very pleased with. What I cannot understand is why it took 12 days to begin service requiring a new thermostat. We had to rent a vehicle at a cost of $600 out of pocket. We realize that the vehicle is well off warranty, but if Les Stanford Chevrolet is unable to provide service in a reasonable time frame a loaner should have been provided. As pleased with your service as we have been dating back many years over multiple vehicles, we will need to consider going elsewhere in the future.

Arrived on time for my 10:30 oil change as per the appointment. Oil change took two and a half hours and got out by 1:00 pm based on the excuse that the service department was a person short. Given the 45 minute travel time to the dealership from Rochester Hills , the entire experience took 4 hours with no lunch, a half day. To say I’m upset is an understatement. At best there should have been some compensation or adjustments offered.

Was glad I was able to get my car serviced but the service manager didn’t seem to know anything about the warranties and protections that were on my account. I ended up paying for something that should have been covered. Thankfully I was refunded but that’s a pretty big oversight. Please make sure staff are properly educated or taught to ask about things they don’t know.
